Setting IsAdRotatorEnabled or IsEnabled raised exceptions

I am trying to disable the ad control by setting
 this.adRotator.IsAdRotatorEnabled = false;
 this.adRotator.IsEnabled = false;
But get the following exceptions.
An exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in AdRotator.Core.DLL and wasn't handled before a managed/native boundary
An exception of type 'System.Exception' occurred in AdRotator.Core.DLL and wasn't handled before a managed/native boundary
As suggested in the documentation I created a UserControl for this.adRotator to be used in all the pages that require ads to be shown. However I noticed, on those pages, the property IsAdRotatorEnabled is not accessible. Instead I get IsAdEnabled.

Also, in the UserControl code behind itself, I can access IsAdRotatorEnabled but not IsAdEnabled.

This is a known issue which we will address in the next release. for now only use the "IsAdRotatorEnabled" switch to disable the control
